Lloyds Art of Nurture

My two entries for the Lloyds TSB Art of Nurture competition. The briefs were 'Innovation/Orginality' and 'Working Together/Support'.
The top prize is £5000. If I win, I'll donate all of the money to some kind of sanctuary. Emu or Badger? Which is the worthier cause?

Last Christmas

Just a Christmas card design I did for Christmas (duh).

I made a series of prints and montaged pieces, which I will upload later, based around the concept of 'The American Dream'. I then put these together in a context and setting, resulting in this piece.

'Tiny Platoons'

This is an editorial piece for an article in Standpoint magazine. The article describes how a medical boat travels round small islands, in an area of Bangladesh which is mostly flooded.

The Secret History spread

This is a double-page spread, based on a section of 'The Secret History' by Donna Tartt.

I illustrated an abstract version of the story of 'Rapunzel' by The Brothers Grimm. The book uses shape and colour, rather than figurative language to tell the story.

Secret History -work in progress

A couple of paintings that I've been working on, based on scenes from and the general feel of 'The Secret History' by Donna Tartt. The book deals with a group of Greek language students, in Vermont,  who perform a Bacchanal and have to face the consequences and guilt when it ultimately results in two murders.
